走過百年的歷史，PPSEAWA始終相信強化女性賦權，將為社會帶來更多的包容、和平與永續。

自1928年成立以來，PPSEAWA連結泛太平洋及東南亞各國女性力量，透過跨國交流與對話，持續關注國際間婦女、兒童與弱勢族群權益。中華民國身為創始會員國之一，PPSEAWA Taiwan 亦肩負著重要的歷史責任與國際使命。

在 PPSEAWA 即將迎來一百週年之際，我們特別希望透過一系列回顧與紀念活動，重新梳理這段由無數女性共同書寫的歷史。站在前人累積的基礎之上，我們看見傳承的價值，也更加清楚未來前行的方向，在既有的根基上，讓組織持續成長，讓影響力走得更遠、更深。

正因如此，在這個承先啟後的重要時刻，雯萱懷著戰戰兢兢的心情接任PPSEAWA Taiwan第18屆理事長，承繼前兩任理事長所奠定的堅實基礎與國際聲譽，希望未來賡續深化PPSEAWA Taiwan所扮演的角色與任務，持續在婦女外交、青年發展培力及落實聯合國永續發展目標SDGs等方面貢獻力量。 

PPSEAWA擁有歷史悠久的國際非政府組織平台優勢，未來將繼續透過國際會議、跨國合作與對話交流，深化民間層次的國際連結，實踐「以國際交流促進國民外交」的精神。讓台灣女性的專業、經驗與觀點能被世界看見。

要讓國際參與真正長久，關鍵在於世代接力，世代的傳承及組織發展的永續，是當前很多機構共同面對的問題，PPSEAWA Taiwan已超前部署於幾年前開始國際青年培力計畫、同時以GIA提案競賽徵選有志青年，系統性地培育年輕世代投入國際事務與公共參與，我們期許成為一座橋樑，讓年輕世代有機會走向國際、理解公共議題，並在前輩的經驗中找到屬於自己的位置，並轉化為具行動力的未來影響。

促進性別平權與社會永續的關鍵基石是優質的教育，PPSEAWA呼應SDG 4 優質教育，期許透過多元教育倡議、文化交流與國際合作，推動更具包容性的學習環境；同時也鼓勵各界以實際行動投入支持與贊助，讓更多青年、尤其是女性青年，能夠獲得站上舞台、展現自我與被世界看見的機會。

站在新的起點，誠摯邀請所有夥伴與會員攜手同行，讓台灣的女性力量持續在國際舞台上發光，為全球的性別平權、教育發展與永續未來，貢獻我們堅定而溫柔的力量。

With a history spanning nearly a century, PPSEAWA has remained steadfast in its belief that strengthening women’s empowerment brings greater inclusiveness, peace, and sustainability to society.

Since its founding in 1928, PPSEAWA has connected women across the Pan-Pacific and Southeast Asian regions. Through international exchange and dialogue, the organization continues to advocate for the rights and well-being of women, children, and disadvantaged communities. As one of the four founding members, the Republic of China (Taiwan) carries both a distinguished legacy and an enduring international mission through PPSEAWA Taiwan.

As PPSEAWA approaches its centennial, we seek to honor this milestone through a series of commemorative and reflective initiatives. By revisiting a history collectively written by generations of women, we reaffirm the value of continuity and gain renewed clarity about the path ahead. Building upon the strong foundations laid by our predecessors, we remain committed to organizational growth and to extending our impact further and deeper.

It is with humility and a profound sense of responsibility that I, Wennie Wei, assume the role of the 18th President of PPSEAWA Taiwan. Inheriting the solid groundwork and international reputation established by my predecessors, I am dedicated to further strengthening PPSEAWA Taiwan’s role and mission. We will continue contributing to women’s diplomacy, youth development and empowerment, and the advancement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

With its long-established presence as an international non-governmental organization, PPSEAWA provides a unique platform for global engagement. Moving forward, we will continue to deepen people-to-people connections through international conferences, cross-border collaboration, and constructive dialogue—upholding the spirit of “promoting citizen diplomacy through international exchange.” In doing so, we aspire to bring the expertise, experiences, and perspectives of Taiwanese women to the global stage.

PPSEAWA Taiwan has proactively launched international youth empowerment programs and established the Gender Impact Accelerator (GIA) Competition to identify and support emerging leaders. Through systematic cultivation, we aim to inspire younger generations to participate in international affairs and public engagement. Our vision is to serve as a bridge—enabling youth to step onto the global stage, deepen their understanding of public issues, and discover their own paths while drawing upon the wisdom of those who came before them.

Quality education is the cornerstone of gender equality and sustainable societies. In alignment with SDG 4: Quality Education, PPSEAWA is committed to advancing inclusive learning environments through diverse educational initiatives, cultural exchange, and international cooperation. We also encourage broader societal support and sponsorship, so that more young people—especially young women—may have opportunities to take the stage, express themselves, and be seen and heard.

At this new beginning, I sincerely invite all partners and members to join hands with us. Together, let us ensure that the strength of Taiwanese women continues to shine on the international stage, contributing our steadfast yet compassionate strength to global gender equality, educational advancement, and a sustainable future.
