本會會員國之一的庫克群島(Cook Islands)是一個坐落在南太平洋的美麗國家，由分成南北兩個集團的15個島嶼組成。庫克群島是紐西蘭的自由聯合國，國家名義上的元首是英國女王，官方語言也是英文。庫克群島擁有獨立的外交權，除了積極參予各國際組織之外，也和34個國家建立了直接和間接的邦交。

The Cook Islands is a beautiful place located in the South Pacific Ocean. It comprises 15 small islands divided into two distinct groups (the North and the South). The Cook Islands is in free association with New Zealand, but is increasingly adopting independent foreign policy and aggressively participating international organization affairs. |

庫克群島的15個大小島嶼分為南北兩個集團。其中，南集團佔有全國240平方公里的國土中，約90%的面積，包括首都阿瓦魯阿最大島拉羅東加島（Rarotonga Is.）在內的九個島嶼都屬於此集團，大部分都是火山活動造成的島嶼，土壤肥沃、熱帶植被滿佈。至於北集團則大都是距離海平面沒多高、由珊瑚礁構成的低矮環礁，島上植被零星，通常中央會有大型的潟湖。
雖然土地面積狹小，但是由庫克群島周圍所構成的經濟海域範圍，卻多達兩百萬平方公里，因此漁業資源對該群島的經濟佔有非常高比例的重要性。
In the Cook Islands, there are 15 major islands spread over 2.2 million km² of ocean, divided into two distinct groups: the Southern Cook Islands and the Northern Cook Islands of coral atolls. The Southern Cook Islands accounts for 90% of the country territory. The islands were formed by volcanic activity; the northern group is older and consists of six atolls, which are sunken volcanoes topped by coral growth. The climate is moderate to tropical.
